Sheriff Tyson will soon retire; soldier Ward is serving in Afghanistan; Syrian refugee Anisha, her husband Ahmed, and children have settled on Long Island; Flight Control Center employee Mitsuki oversees the Japanese space program. The heroes of the series have nothing in common, but they all face the same nightmare - a massive alien invasion on Earth.
